Coldplay are bringing their worldwide tour to Glasgow this month where the iconic band will be playing not one, but two nights of performances.

Playing on Tuesday, August 23 and Wednesday, August 24, the band will be taking over Hampden Park for their only Scottish dates.

As the gigs approach, here is everything you need to know before making your way.

According to Ticketmaster, on both nights the gates will open at 4pm.

For August 23, there are some resale tickets available. These can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

For August 24, there are some tickets available as well as resale. These too can be purchased on the Ticketmaster website.

On August 23, Coldplay will be supported by H.E.R and Nina Nesbitt. H.E.R. is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and musician and Nina Nesbitt, a Scottish singer and songwriter from Livingston.

On August 24, Nina Nesbitt will support once again. London Grammar will also be joining as a support act.

According to Ticketmaster, no person under 5 will be permitted to the event. On the pitch, no one under 14 can be present and persons aged 14-15 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over at all times. One adult minimum per 4 persons aged 14-15 years old.

In the seating area, 5-15-year-olds must also be accompanied by an adult.

Flares, gas or smoke devices, are not permitted. The use of flares & smoke devices is illegal and dangerous.

The full list of banned items is as follows: Fireworks, sparklers, confetti cannons, Chinese / sky lanterns, firewood, candles or any flames, professional camera/video/audio equipment including removable lenses, drones, portable laser equipment, laser pens, air horns, megaphones, sound systems, vuvuzelas, kites, frisbees, boomerangs, spray paint cans, aerosols over 250ml, gazebos, glass bottles/ jars/ containers, unofficial tabards and reflective jackets (Hi-Vis), fake ID, flagpoles, umbrellas, selfie sticks, inflatables, folding chairs and any item that could be considered a weapon, including multi-tools, are not permitted. Such items will be confiscated and not returned and you may be handed over to Police Scotland.

Hampden Park is easily accessed by train, car, bus or by walking.

Rail: It is a five-minute walk from Mount Florida and King's Park train stations with trains running from Glasgow Central.

Bus: First Bus services to Hampden include the 5, 6, 7, 7A, 34, 90 and 31.

Car: The stadium is five minutes from Junction 1a of the M74. Exit onto Polmadie Road/A728 and follow as it merges onto Aikenhead Road.

Parking is restricted on event days and there is no public parking in the vicinity of the stadium on major event days.

Walking: Hampden is a 45-minute walk from Glasgow's city centre.
