Professional Tool Reviews for Pros

Dickies has launched a new collection of premium performance workwear designed to meet the needs of men and women in the trades. With an emphasis on durability, comfort, and warmth, the Dickies Winter Workwear collection uses tough fabrics that look professional no matter how hard, cold, or dirty the work.

This Dickies Winter Workwear collection features hard-wearing fabrics like Cordura and Flex. It then enhances those materials with features that provide modern comfort and additional function.

Those features include things like: slimmer silhouettes, raglan sleeves, multipurpose pockets, anti-scratch trims, and reflector strips. Dickies also adds Advanced Weather Technology (AWT) to help block out wind and rain.

In particular, we like the looks of the kneepad pockets in the Dickies FLEX GDT Premium Trousers. Kneepad pockets provide the most comfortable way to get some padding when you have limited work to do on the ground. Those who need all-day protection while kneeling still need to look for external flex pads—but for residential tiling, flooring, and other jobs we love having the option to insert pads on-the-fly.

Lastly, the Dickies Exact Winter Workwear Collection is uniquely built for both men and women. Dickies designed the collection for easy layering.

The Dickies Winter Workwear collection also includes an expansion of the Temp-iQ lineup. First and foremost, the Dickies Warming Temp-iQ line provides warmth without the bulk. It allows unrestricted movement without the need for wearing multiple layers of clothing.

For the Warming Temp-iQ line, Dickies uses what they call “Long-Term Performance Denim.” They claim this Flex denim is twice as strong as regular denim while still providing a greater range of motion. If only we had that back in the 80s when I was in high school!

Dickies has made a solid name for itself amongst tradesmen. There affordable durability lets you attain a lot of long-lasting clothing that holds up to the rigors of the daily grind. Even better, you don’t have to go far to find them. Since Dickies makes their line available at both Amazon and Walmart, you’re never far away from grabbing a new shirt, pair of pants, or jacket when you need it. We like seeing these new products and look forward to trying some of them out when they become available.
